Pediatric Intensivist Opportunity in the cultural, recreational, and business capital of the Appalachian Mountains
Responsibilities
We are seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Intensivist to join our well-established practice at Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) Women and Childrenâ™s Hospital in beautiful Charleston, West Virginia.
About the Hospital
CAMC is one of the largest health systems in West Virginia and CAMC Women and Childrenâ™s Hospital is the first free standing childrenâ™s hospital in the state. Home to the regionâ™s largest and busiest Level III NICU and Level I PICU, CAMC Women and Childrenâ™s Hospital is the recipient of ARK (Always Ready for Kids) recognition by the West Virginia Office of Emergency Services.
About the Practice
9-bed PICU with an average of 265 annual admits
Teaching site for medical students and residents
Block scheduling, averaging 7 days on, affording ample time off
Out-of-house call with pediatric residents in-house 24/7
2 full-time and 1 part-time physician team with all and holiday coverage divided equally
Daily multidisciplinary rounds with Residents, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Nutrition Services, Physical Therapy and Child Life to provide patient/family centered care
Consultative services provided by pediatric sub-specialists representing more than 30 specialties, including pulmonary medicine, surgery, neurology, nephrology, infectious disease, hematology-oncology, gastroenterology, endocrinology and cardiology
