Mission Children’s is seeking a Pediatric Hematology Oncology Advanced Practice Provider to join our well-established team in Asheville, NC.
Qualified Candidates:
Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
Experience as a pediatric or family advanced practice provider is preferred, but not required; new graduates will be considered
Hematology Oncology experience is preferred, but not required
Ability to work predominantly outpatient, with home call on average 2-3 nights per week, occasional inpatient, and weekend coverage (with Physician backup)

Very experienced nursing staff with most having CPHON certification
2 Full-time dedicated Pediatric Heme-Onc LCSW’s
Child Life services in hospital and outpatient clinic
On-site Oncology Pharmacist
Pediatric Hematology-Oncology has strong support from the Pediatric Hospital Medicine service, who admits and manages all non-chemotherapy patients, with close consultation with the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology team

Approximately 4000 deliveries per year
Approximately 4,500 pediatric surgeries, and 14,000 pediatric visits to our emergency department per year

We offer comprehensive testing for children's blood disorders and malignancies. All tests are done with modern tools, and our laboratory and imaging center quickly provides your results.
