The Cancer and Blood Disorder Program at Children’s Minnesota is seeking a full-time Pediatric Oncologist to join a well-established and growing practice.
Children’s Minnesota is the 10th largest Children’s Hospital in North America. Our pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders program is currently composed of over 200 dedicated professionals including 27 physicians and 16 nurse practitioners as well as nurse case managers, pharmacists, rehabilitation therapists, dieticians, genetic counselors, social workers, child life experts, interpreters, home care and hospice specialists. Our program sees approximately 200 new cancer diagnoses per year.
We are currently seeking a candidate with a dedicated interest in solid tumor patients. We currently have 4 solid tumor physicians (2 full time and 2 part time). We have 1 dedicated solid tumor nurse practitioner, and 3 solid tumor nurse case managers.
Applicants must be board-eligible or board-certified in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, clinical research and clinical care. Responsibilities include primarily oncology care, although hematology coverage may be required for weekend call.
Children’s Minnesota is a teaching hospital to medical students, residents and fellows from the University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic. Academic inquiry and research are highly valued, but not required. We have a strong clinical trial program with robust involvement in the Children's Oncology Group (COG) clinical trials.
