Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St. Vincent in Indianapolis is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join our established practice. Our ideal candidate must be proficient in performing bone marrow aspirate/biopsies, lumbar puncture with administration of IT chemotherapy.
Peyton Manning Children Hospital at St. Vincent is part of Indiana's largest not-for-profit health system with 22 ministries and over 3000 physicians. Features include: an attached tertiary care, pediatric hospital with 40 private inpatient beds and 8 short stay beds, staffed in-house 24/7 by our Pediatric Hospitalist group; a 23-bed PICU staffed 24/7 by Pediatric Intensivists; a 17-bed Pediatric Emergency department staffed 24/7 by Pediatric Emergency physicians; and Indiana's largest Level IV NICU with 97 beds staffed 24/7 by Neonatologists.

We have an outstanding support staff, including 3 APPs Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital achieved recognition by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) as a Level I Children’s Surgery Center. PMCH is the second Ascension children's hospital, the 49th in the country and the second in Indiana to receive this distinction.
A nine story Women’s and Children's tower housing 107 private NICU rooms is currently under construction and scheduled to to be completed by November 2024
Providers participate in residency training and medical education through Marian University and Indiana University clinical teaching appointments with the potential for clinical research opportunities.
Complete multidisciplinary support from a full range of subspecialists and ancillary services including an embedded Pediatric PharmD in clinic and close relationships with providers from Pediatric Surgery,

Responsibilities:
Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinates discharge planning with case management.
Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.
Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
