University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hematology/Oncology team at the M Health Cancer Clinic in Edina.

The Advanced Practice Provider will work in collaboration with physicians, nurses and administrative staff to deliver comprehensive healthcare and plan of care to adult hematology and oncology patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings.

In This Role, You Will:

• Collaborate with the consult attending and complete consultation for established and new oncology/hematology patients at M Health Fairview Southdale and Ridges Hospitals.
• Communicate with the inpatient multidisciplinary team and primary medicine teams regarding recommendations for care. Participate in care conferences and facilitate a discharge plan with the discharge coordinator and outpatient nurse coordinators.
• Engage in comprehensive diagnosis and management of complex heme-onc patients in all spectrums of care including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy, and supportive care.
• Complete comprehensive histories and physicals in the outpatient setting of patients undergoing cancer therapy. Share in supervision and support of infusion services, manage patients on active surveillance, and provide survivorship care.
• Initiate orders and implements diagnostic and treatment plans, including intravenous fluids, medications, and transfusions.
• Perform bone marrow biopsies in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

Schedule:

• Full-time, 1.0 FTE
• Monday-Friday, varying hours from 7am-5:30pm
• No call coverage

We're Looking For a PA or NP Who Is:

• A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program.
• Eligible or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP.
• Licensed or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (NP's).
• Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
