Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) is seeking an inspirational leader to serve as the Medical Director of the Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center.

Working collaboratively with administrative and nursing leadership, the Medical Director will be responsible for leading the coordination, organization, and oversight of all clinical operations rendered by attending physicians, advanced practice providers, and hematology-oncology fellows in the Center. The successful candidate will be a nationally recognized physician, clinically active and specialty trained in pediatric hematology oncology with a distinguished record of achievement in clinical operations, education, clinical care, and research. They will have a collaborative, team-based leadership style, and the ability to build relationships and lead through influence. They must also be operationally savvy, with the business acumen and cultural intelligence to lead within a complex, matrixed environment.

The Medical Director of Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center will report to the Hematology/Oncology Division Chief in the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine / Texas Children’s Hospital

The ideal candidate for the Medical Director position will possess a MD or MD/PhD degree (or equivalent) from an accredited medical school and be Board Certified in Pediatrics and certified in Pediatric Hematology Oncology. They will be a full-time faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics at the rank of Associate Professor or above with 10 or more years of administrative, clinical, and educational experience.
