The Cancer and Blood Disorder Program at Children’s Minnesota is seeking a full-time pediatric neuro-oncologist to join a well-established and growing practice.

We are currently seeking a candidate with a dedicated interest in neuro-oncology. Our neuro-oncology program sees on average 50 - 65 new patients per year. We have 2 neuro-oncologists, 1 neuro-oncology nurse practitioner and 2 neuro-oncology nurse case managers.

Although the main focus of practice will be pediatric neuro-oncology, responsibilities will also include periodic general oncology care when on service or covering call. Hematology coverage also may be required for weekend call.

Children’s Minnesota is the seventh largest pediatric health system in the United States. Our pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders program is currently composed of over 200 dedicated professionals including 21 physicians and 15 nurse practitioners as well as nurse case managers, pharmacists, rehabilitation therapists, dieticians, genetic counsellors, social workers, child life experts, interpreters, home care, hospice specialists and research staff. We provide care at two hospital sites in the Twin Cities and as well as in infusion centers in central Minnesota and western Wisconsin

Children’s Minnesota is a teaching hospital to medical students, residents and fellows from the University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic. Academic inquiry and research are highly valued, but not required. We have a strong clinical trial program with 2 dedicated neuro-oncology clinical research assistants. We are members of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), Pacific Pediatric Neuro-oncology Consortium (PNOC) and other small clinical research collaborations.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a lucrative compensation package including a base pay with incentive pay opportunities. Our comprehensive benefits package includes malpractice, health, dental, disability coverage, retirement plans, a solid CME package, vacation/CME time, and much more.

Children’s of Minnesota champions the health needs of children and families and aspires to be every family’s essential partner in raising healthier children. Our values reflect the behaviors that are truly important to us as an organization: Kids First; Listen, Really Listen; Own Outcomes; Join Together and Be Remarkable.

Minneapolis/St. Paul is the 16th largest metropolitan area in the US and consistently ranks as one of the top ten most livable places in the US. We are known for our world-class arts, outstanding year-round recreation, and educational excellence. The Twin Cities offer many cultural choices, restaurants, professional and college sports, as well as a beautiful and diverse place to live. With a bounty of lakes and beautiful parks, recreational activities abound throughout all four glorious seasons.

About Children's Minnesota
Children’s Minnesota is the seventh largest pediatric health system in the United States and the only health system in Minnesota to provide care exclusively to children, from before birth through young adulthood. An independent and not-for-profit system since 1924, Children’s serves kids throughout the Upper Midwest at two free-standing hospitals, 12 primary and specialty care clinics and six rehabilitation sites. Additionally, Children’s is Minnesota's only Level I pediatric trauma center inside a hospital dedicated solely to children. In 2018 Children’s Minnesota was verified as a Level I Children’s Surgery Center by the American College of Surgeons. Children’s maintains its longstanding commitment to the community to improve children’s health by providing high-quality, family-centered pediatric services and advancing those efforts through research and education. This work is made possible in large part by generous philanthropic and volunteer support from individuals and organizations throughout the state and region. An award-winning health system, Children’s received Magnet® recognition from The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in 2018 and is regularly ranked by U.S. News & World Report as a top children’s hospital.
