MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center has an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematology/Oncology physician to join a team located in Mason City, Iowa.

The selected candidate will be fellowship trained in Hematology and Medical Oncology and play a role in building the future Medical Oncology team in a state-of-the-art cancer treatment facility, as well as support the development of engaged and empowered colleagues and a culture of excellence in patient-centered care.

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is home to MercyOne Cancer Center, a beautiful, patient-friendly, comprehensive Cancer Center. We are currently undergoing a $10 million expansion/renovation for our growing practice! And, our highly experienced team is actively developing our Survivorship and Genetics programs.

MercyOne North Iowa Cancer Center offers a reasonable schedule with an average daily patient load of approximately 15-16 patients a day, intentionally designed so our providers can have a reasonable work-life balance. Providers are typically supported by a nurse and a medical assistant. The practice is enhanced by support from five Advanced Practice Providers and two Radiation Oncologists and has 24 infusion chairs and 20 exam rooms.

The ideal candidates will be team-oriented, process-focused and ready to make a difference! Call responsibilities are evenly shared among the Oncology team in providing support for both the Medical Oncology and Hematology service across our healthcare delivery network. We offer an attractive call schedule and compensation package.

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is a 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital, named Top 100 Hospital nationally for achieving excellence in clinical outcomes, growth and fiscal management for several years.
