Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division is recruiting for a BE/BC child and adolescent psychiatrist. Qualified candidates must have completed an ACGME accredited fellowship indicating advanced training in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Qualified candidates will be integral to the growth and expansion of the Division. Development of inpatient psychiatric services is a key feature of this position, and will focus on rotation as attending on the inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric unit. The inpatient unit boasts a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, pharmacists, therapists, nurses, and behavioral technicians. This position will also provide consultation and liaison psychiatry services to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital medical subspecialties, including active heart transplant and advanced heart failure programs, end stage renal disease and kidney transplant programs, hematology/oncology, diabetes and gender-based endocrinology, and cystic fibrosis. Multidisciplinary collaboration with the Department of Pediatric Psychology, and a broad psychosocial team including art and music therapy, child life, education, and social work provide further programmatic support to the successful candidate. This position also includes opportunities to contribute to the growth of the division's outpatient practice.

The successful candidate will work closely with a team of established child and adolescent psychiatrists, and report to the Medical Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division. In addition to the growing Memorial Healthcare System (MHS) Department of Psychiatry and new Psychiatry Residency Program, MHS plans to develop an ACGME-accredited Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship training program. Opportunities for research exist and are encouraged.

This is a full-time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers a competitive benefit and compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.

A Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital representative from our recruitment division will be in attendance at the upcoming PracticeMatch Psychiatry Virtual Career Fair on July 19, 2022, from 4-7pm CT. Please stop by our booth to learn more about the open opportunities with Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.

JDCH offers resources for academic pursuits, spanning from clinical research to basic science investigation via affiliations with nearby universities and through its Pediatric Institute for Discovery and Innovation (PIDI). JDCH has an established pediatric residency program and deep relationships with other hospital providers and universities.
