The Buffalo, NY Veterans Affairs Medical Center is recruiting a Pathologist. We are a very collegial group of 5 AP/CP board certified pathologists, including one with additional Dermatopathology Board certification, and another with additional Hematopathology Board certification, allowing us to serve as a Dermpath, Hemepath and Flow Cytometry referral center for our region. All pathologists are actively involved in teaching trainees from SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine, including Pathology residents, as well as residents and fellows from other clinical disciplines, including Pulmonology, GI, Endocrinology, and Hematology-Oncology. Pathologists are key participants in hospital governance and clinical care conferences and committees.

Anatomic & Clinical Pathology board certification required. Subspecialty board certification in Dermatopathology, Hematopathology, Cytopathology or Transfusion Medicine preferred.

Buffalo is a medium sized city with a low cost of living, affordable housing, easy commutes and exceptional school systems throughout the region.  Buffalo has a resurgent downtown including professional sports, many cultural activities and a beautiful waterfront.  Ski resorts are a short drive, and parks, including the natural wonder of Niagara Falls is a 30 minute drive away.  Cosmopolitan Toronto is a 1.5 hour drive across the Canadian border.

  • CME: $1,000 per year stipend for reimbursement; 5 Days paid absence to attend CME
