Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) -Hematology Clinical Research

We are seeking a Clinical Trials Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for our Hematology Clinical Research team. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join a team of over 800 NPs and PAs across MSK who are dedicated to delivering compassionate, expert and comprehensive cancer care to patients and families.

You will:

  • Collaborate with designated physicians and research team members (consisting of the principle investigators, Clinical Research Coordinators, Data Managers and Nursing Staff) to develop and conduct clinical trials
  • Participate in the institutional review process, including the in writing/reviewing protocols
  • Screen patients for protocols, determining patients eligibility, participate in the informed consent process and provide education for patients considering enrollment or enrolled on a clinical trial
  • Clinical responsibilities include monitoring toxicities, assessing clinical responses and providing exemplary patient care while ensuring the protocol is conducted in a high quality manner in in-patient and out-patient settings

You Are:

  • Experienced in Oncology
  • Capable of anticipating and balancing the needs to multiple stakeholders
  • Resourceful, securing and deploying resources effectively and efficiently
  • An effective communicator
  • Openly relatable and comfortable with diverse groups of people
  • Adaptable in approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR AN NP CANDIDATE ARE:

  • Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
  • Masters degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
  • 3+ years of related clinical APP experience
  • Related National NP certification
  • BLS/ ACLS certification
  • Clinical research experience preferred

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR A PA CANDIDATE ARE:

  • Graduate from an accredited PA program
  • NCCPA certification
  • Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
  • A minimum of 3+ years of related experience as a PA
  • BLS/ACLS certification
  • Clinical research experience preferred

HOURS : Four 10 hours day shifts per week, flexed Monday-Friday
