The Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Beaumont Children’s Hospital in southeast Michigan is pleased to announce an opportunity to add a board certified/board eligible pediatric hematologist/oncologist to our team. If you desire a dynamic and supportive environment, experienced clinicians and young investigators are encouraged to apply. While a specific area of clinical interest is not necessary, we are anxious to hear about what excites you and what you would bring to our program.
Our group includes three full time physicians and one nurse practitioner who also participates in our call schedule. We are located in an expansive clinic that was constructed in 2017 above the new Proton Therapy Center, the only center in Michigan. The Skandalaris Family Center for Children with Cancer and Blood Disorders provides a spacious and relaxing environment for all who enjoy it ~ patients, families and care team alike. We are a full member of Children’s Oncology Group, seeing approximately 40-50 newly diagnosed oncology patients each year; our highly experienced data management staff has supported our division for 20 years. Comprehensive hematology care is provided to a medium sized sickle cell population. Our patients are supported by all necessary pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties, including a dedicated pediatric interventional radiologist and a cutting edge pediatric surgery team that recently performed the first HIPEC procedure at our center. Our team has a dedicated social worker and educational liaison/teacher, as well as numerous certified child life specialists. We are proud to have the generously funded Gilbert Family Adolescent and Young Adult Program, as well as a funded Pediatric/Adolescent Oncology Integrative Wellness Program.
