Asst/Assoc Professor - CAR T

The Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center invites applications for the position of Clinical Director of the Pediatric Cellular Immunotherapy Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the clinical research and clinical operational efforts necessary to bring CAR T-cells and other emerging cellular immunotherapies to pediatric and young adult patients with hematologic malignancies, solid tumors and brain tumors. Responsibilities will include leadership of a multidisciplinary clinical operations group and clinical research team, as well as development and oversight of a portfolio of clinical trials, including investigator-initiated, cooperative group and industry-sponsored protocols. The successful candidate will also be expected to collaborate with laboratory-based investigators in support of clinical trial development and correlative biology studies. Clinical responsibilities will include inpatient and outpatient care of pediatric cancer patients as well as consults for patients who may be appropriate for cellular immunotherapeutic approaches. Experience in the care of patients receiving CAR T-cells and other immunotherapies, as well as in clinical trial development/oversight and clinical operational administrative leadership are preferred. Qualified candidates should have an MD degree and be board-certified in pediatric hematology-oncology. Dana-Farber and Boston Children’s Hospital are Harvard Medical School Teaching Hospitals. The chosen candidate may receive an academic appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank at Harvard Medical School, commensurate with experience, accomplishments and teaching responsibilities. The position will be based at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center).
Salary offered will be consistent with fair market rate and commensurate with experience.
