The Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the Penn State Children’s Hospital and the Penn State University College of Medicine is recruiting for a Director of the Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Program. This individual will work closely with colleagues and investigators in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, Pediatric Neurosurgery, Pediatric Neurology, Radiation Oncology, the Penn State Cancer Institute and the Department of Pediatrics. The Director will oversee and provide leadership in the clinical research programs and provide clinical patient care services. In addition to clinical and research activities, there is an expectation for academic work, including education, investigation, administration, and advocacy.
Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologists with expertise in the treatment of pediatric brain tumors and an established record of accomplishment in patient care, clinical research, and/or teaching are encouraged to apply. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Rank is at the Assistant to Full Professor level, commensurate with experience, accomplishments, and leadership. Opportunities for program development and support of clinical or laboratory research are significant.
