Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI has an excellent opportunity for a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist. The new provider will be an innovative, collaborative professional who is clinically focused and passionate about improving the outcomes of children and teens with a wide range of hematologic, coagulation, and oncologic disorders. This busy outpatient and inpatient practice is distinguished by full Children’s Oncology Group (COG) affiliation and by a federally funded comprehensive hemophilia treatment center, known as the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Coagulation Disorders Program. The practice also performs bone marrow transplants and hosts other specialty clinics including sickle cell, neuro-oncology, and aftercare/transition. Teaching opportunities exist with medical students, residents, and within the practice’s own fully accredited fellowship program. Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital is the primary academic affiliate of Michigan State University and appointments are available for qualifying candidates. Support for clinical research is also available.
Ranked in 6-specialties (2017-18) US News & World Report Best Children’s Hospitals, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital is a state-of-the-art, globally integrated, 236-bed free standing dedicated children’s hospital located on the main campus of Spectrum Health. Annually, there are 8760 inpatient and 124,600 ambulatory visits, as well as over 55,185 children seen in the Pediatric Emergency Department (Level 1 Trauma rated). HDVCH also has one of the nation’s largest NICU’s (108-beds).

Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology
3 years of clinical experience treating pediatric oncology patients
Ability to be licensed and credentialed as a physician in the State of Michigan
Candidates with special interest in neuro-oncology or oncofertility are encouraged to apply
Additional Salary Information: Salary will be competitive based on 2019 benchmarks in this pediatric subspecialty. Salary is negotiable based on experience. Annual physician bonus.
