The Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (PHO) seeks candidates for a full-time academic position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level within the Department of Pediatrics, OHSU School of Medicine. The position is intended for a pediatric oncologist whose primary clinical focus is solid tumors. Responsibilities will involve patient care and program development; teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, and PHO fellows; and clinical investigation. The latter component may include, but is not limited to, investigational therapeutics, cancer control and outcomes, healthcare and quality, or biomedical ethics.
The successful applicant will join 16 PHO physician faculty and 6 advanced practice providers whose subspecialties span general pediatric oncology, survivorship, neuro-oncology, stem cell transplantation, immunodeficiencies, marrow failure, and non-malignant hematology. We actively enroll patients and hold leadership roles within a number of multi-institutional consortia, including the Children’s Oncology Group and Therapeutic Advances for Childhood Leukemia & Lymphoma. The successful candidate will become member of the NIH-designated comprehensive OHSU Knight Cancer Institute and have ample opportunity for research collaboration. Patient care is delivered within the 21-bed PHO inpatient unit, PHO clinic, and infusion center of OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, located in Portland on the medical center campus of OHSU. Our hospital serves children, adolescents, and young adults from a large geographical region, including the entire state of Oregon and Southwest Washington.
Candidates must be board certified/eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Additional Salary Information: Salary will be at the 50th percentile for the Western US, commensurate with the years at the Assistant or Associate Professor level
